- Sojiro Takamura is taking on new challenges in the contemporary art world by creating new series of art with differing themes such as tattoos, tatami mats, matoi (projected woodblock-print artwork), ancient Nara, ancient Kyoto, Cup Noodle products, and portraits of politicians, while retaining the traditional expression representative of Japanese paintings.
