This exhibition will display the latest works of popular painter Nozomi Hirata, who became famous for his paintings of women with extremely clear skin, and passionate roses.
His motifs and backgrounds give off a beautiful and mysterious expression, yet contain both fragility and strength within them. This is how Hirata paints a world of profound beauty.
The exhibition title ~ La Vie en rose ~ means “A Rose Colored Life”.
The anonymized women with their faces hidden are painted as a symbol that surpasses race, age, and gender. This expression also symbolizes the inner beauty of people who strive to survive, so that their lives shine brightly as a rose color.
