BORZOI & WOMAN Izumi Kogahara Exhibition
Oct. 17 (Thu.) to Oct. 23 (Wed.)

Izumi Kogahara draws women in vivid colors and alluring natural color schemes. Her deeply poetic works are attracting a great deal of attention both in Japan and around the world.
The longer we live, the more difficult it becomes to directly express our feelings and as our thoughts and expressions become intricately intertwined we can suddenly feel as though we are wandering in a maze. Still, deep in our heart exists a core that can withstand anything–simple thoughts, quiet yet strong, that continue to be there to support us. In this exhibition, Ms. Kogahara catches the emotions and heat that sway at the core in the hearts of women.
Ms. Kogahara has many fans of the same sex. As a woman who pushes forward through the struggles of every day life, the female images drawn from her viewpoint have gained sympathy from many women.
This exhibition will also feature works depicting beautiful Borzoi dogs that Ms. Kogahara loves dearly.
