Modern Impressionism: A Guy Dessapt Exhibition
Sep . 5 (Thu.) to Sep. 11 (Wed.)

Guy Dessapt uses his very own techniques to paint atmospheric masterpieces of beautiful cityscapes that are overflowing with light, such as the glamorous yet tradition filled city of Paris and metropolises like New York City.
He read the flow of impressionists who are loved worldwide such as Monet and Noir to create scenic paintings that are gorgeous yet able to put you at ease. His paintings which are thought of as a radiant jewelry box charmed his many fans in Europe. Then, their popularity spread to the United States of America, Japan, etc. until they reached critical acclaim in each region of the world.
<A Flashing Moment of Light Drawn in a Sketch>
The impressionist painters try to capture their in the moment impression of nature as it continues to change along with time. One of their methods of expression is through sketches. By painting directly onto the canvas instead of mixing the paint on the palette, an artistic innovation was created, where in the eyes of the audience the colors overlap and create a work of art without any dull colors.
Mr. Dessapt incorporated into this method his very own unique techniques and gave birth to a style of his own, which would go on to be called modern impressionism.
