Akio Ohmori freely combines a variety of techniques such as wood carving, dry lacquer, and bronzing to create sculptures that overflow with the spark of life.
Usages of his highly original works extend beyond the art world to cross-industry collaborations, including work with musicians and apparel brands.
This fall, Ohmori published a new photograph collection, titled The Serendipitous Sculpture. More than just a collection of works, this publication showcases pieces that can be used to liven up our personal living spaces.
Visitors to the exhibition will be able to experience a large number of these impressive works for themselves, along with a number of new pieces by the artist inspired by next year's zodiac animal, the rat.
