The Ukiyo-e
Oct. 24 (Thu.) to Oct. 30 (Wed.)

The "Ukiyo-e" wood block print art form developed tremendously during the Edo era.
The audacious colors, motifs, and designs of ukiyo-e prints enthralled overseas viewers. Numerous prints were exhibited at the 1867 International Exposition in Paris, launching the Japonisme movement and profoundly influencing impressionist painters and other Western artists.
Enjoy the allure of ukiyo-e, one of Japan's most notable art forms, which captivates collectors both in Japan and abroad to this very day, and the exceptional wood block print techniques used to create it.
