Introducing an exhibition of new works by painter and illustrator Yoko Matsumoto, featuring art that focuses on tables, chairs, flowers and other things from our everyday lives.
The artist strove to "depict things which function to suddenly call forth memories of certain emotions," and indeed the things she depicts seem to exude the traces, odors, warmth, and lingering thoughts and feelings of people who the viewer would expect to be present in the scene.
We hope you will come and experience for yourself these works which seem to gently approach and embrace the viewer.
"This year has provided us with the opportunity to reconnect with the small things in life, the charms of the everyday.
I hope all of you will be able to pass the coming days in peace and comfort."
