Hiroto Rakusho - Blue World -
Sep. 10 (Thu.) to Sep. 16 (Wed.)

Hiroto Rakusho is a global metallic-leaf artist who freely manipulates colors through the proprietary technique of applying heat to change the color of gold and silver leaf.
Works of art that incorporate the traditional Japanese art techniques of Nishijin have lustrous qualities and also emit a profound brightness that draws its viewers into a dreamy fantasy land.
The title of this solo exhibition, "Blue World," invokes images of the sea, sky, water and other beautiful facets of nature.
The artist is holding the exhibition in the hope that our contemporary era, our society, and the hearts and minds of the people therein will be able to more rapidly regenerate and recover in much the same way as nature replenishes itself continuously through ceaseless flows and cycles.
Visitors can enjoy beautiful works of metallic leaf tinted blue—just as the exhibition title implies—pieces made with Yakusugi cedar that convey the essence of Mother Nature, and other impressive works.
