The year 2025 is the "Holy Year." The Holy Doors of Saint Peter's Basilica are opened once every 25 years—this time in 2025—and pilgrims who pass through them believe that doing so grants them entry to heaven. This exhibition adopts the name Compostela, which means "field of stars." It is named after the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, one of Catholicism's three major holy sites and the burial place of Saint James the Great. It is the artists' hope that, from among the approximately 40 pieces shown together at this exhibition, each viewer will find that one which shines most brightly to them like star for this Holy Year, and convey to it their silent wish. All participating artists have poured their hearts and souls into creating special works for the Holy Year, so we hope you will come down experience them for yourself!
