COCORO NAKAURA has spent his years viewing modern scenery and things as information conveyed via smartphone and computer screens. His art adopts vaguely defined formats as means of expressing the realities of various things in similarly equivocal terms. The title of this solo exhibition, "2 side," refers to two series: "Portrait," which depicts digital landscapes, and "Staining," which depicts real landscapes. His expression occupies the intermediate space between the two, and the intersections between these dual forms serve as reflections of modern-day people's realities—people who go back and forth constantly between the digital and the physical worlds. Based on this perspective, Nakaura searches for ways to capture our era through his art.
