🔷Gimel
The history of Japan's high jewelry brand Gimel began with a single diamond.
In 1974, owner and art director Kaoru Akihara founded a diamond import company. She later established an atelier in Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, and began crafting jewelry that best showcased beautiful, rare gemstones.
The brand debuted as “Gimel” in 1991, captivating collectors and jewelry enthusiasts worldwide with its unique style that meticulously recreates the beauty of nature.
Gimel jewelry realistically expresses delicate leaf veins, the sparkle of morning dew, tiny insects, and wildflowers using diamonds, colored stones, and precious metals. With meticulous attention to detail extending even to the reverse side of each piece, it truly is “jewelry beautiful from every angle.”
These creations, a fusion of art and craftsmanship, transcend mere adornment to become works of art, highly valued at auction houses like Sotheby's and Christie's.
“Capturing nature's fleeting beauty forever”—Gimel weaves a quiet dialogue between nature and humanity through its jewelry.
