 ̶ Pulsating Light ̶

The warmth of skin,
the light held within the eyes,
the sense of blood flowing through the veins,
the delicate trembling of flower petals̶
I have carefully painted each of these subtle signs of life.

Within the finite time we are given, our lives continue in ceaseless motion.
Through my paintings, I seek to transform this fundamental vitality̶at once fragile and
powerful̶into something visible.

Within the figures I portray, I hope viewers may feel, together with the light, a resonance of life
that echoes their own heartbeat.

Through the realist expressions of contemporary artists, this exhibition invites us to reconsider
the question: What is “Realism”?
Beyond their exceptional technical mastery lies the profound vision and thought of each artist.
Through their works, we hope this exhibition offers an opportunity to “Rethink” the evolution
and possibilities of realist painting.

🔶Takeshi Nagase

1979 Born in Saitama, Japan
2002 Graduated from the Department of Oil Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tama Art University; received the Ichiro Fukuzawa Award
2004 Completed the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tama Art University, majoring in Painting
